Micah & Jaclyn Morehart Funeral Director / Owners

Micah and Jaclyn were raised in Breckenridge and moved back home from Austin in 2009 to help with the family business. They purchased Morehart Mortuary in 2012 from Micah's parents, and continue the family tradition of excellent funeral service. They are active members of First United Methodist Church where they serve on several different committees, and Jaclyn plays in the handbell choir. Micah and Jaclyn are also both active members in the Breckenridge Noon Lions Club and Jaclyn serves as vice president of the Woman's Forum. They have two young sons, Jackson and Miles.

Micah graduated from Amarillo College with an Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science in 2009 and is a licensed funeral director. Micah grew up in the funeral industry and has been professionally working in it since 2003. He has worked at both family and corporate owned funeral homes in Lubbock and Austin. Jaclyn graduated from Texas Tech University with degrees in Marketing and General Business and has been involved in the funeral industry since 2004.

Micah and Jaclyn strive to carry on the family tradition of helping families during their time of need.  They are proud to serve the families of Breckenridge, Albany, and the surrounding communities.

Jack & Carrol Morehart Funeral Director / Proprietors

Jack and Carrol are the parents of three grown sons: Mark, Matthew, and Micah. They are members of the First Baptist Church in Breckenridge, where Jack serves as a deacon and Carrol sings in the choir. They also teach the College and Career Sunday School Class. Carrol is a Baylor Graduate and is a retired registered nurse. Jack graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1972. They came to Breckenridge in 1978 and owned and operated Morehart Mortuary from 1983 until 2012. Jack has been involved with funeral service for nearly 50 years and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.

Jessica Bishop Secretary

Jessica moved to Breckenridge in 2000 and is a 2005 graduate of Breckenridge High School. She began working at Morehart Mortuary in 2013 as our secretary. She also takes care of the personalization through stationary or memorial videos.  Jessica will help make sure all your concerns and requests regarding your loved one’s services are met by herself or by our directors at Morehart Mortuary. She is a sensitive yet professional individual and is proud to serve the local communities during their time of need.

Debbie Rumage Receptionist

Debbie was raised in Shackelford County and after retirement she and her husband, Jim, moved back to the area. She started with Morehart Mortuary in September of 2019 and primarily keeps our office in Albany open for your loved one’s visitation. Debbie also works at our Breckenridge office when needed, answering phones and greeting families at visitations. She is honored to work and give back in the community she was raised.
